Our
Environment Social & Governance (ESG) Practices
In the transport sector, road transport is the largest contributor to global warming. Around 8% of total Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions in India are from the transport sector with heavy-duty trucks and passenger vehicles as its major contributors. Conscious of the negative impacts of pollution on our health and welfare, considerable efforts have been made towards greening of the Truck Stop facility. We are proud to state that today we have more than 1000 trees, climbers, and shrubs within the Truck Stop area which not only reduces the daytime temperature by around 2 degrees as compared to other Truck Stop facilities, it also serves as a convenient resting place for drivers with access to seasonal fruits and vegetables like guava, jamun, drumsticks (moringa) etc. We practice chemical and pesticide-free agriculture and horticulture produce by vermicomposting, farmyard manure, and water conservation practices like the use of drip and sprinklers.
